David "Bodie" Bailey Photography: Have Camera Will Travel. Photography has been a big part of my life from 5 years of age. I bought my first camera a Kodak Brownie at a thrift store for .75 cents. I later upgraded to a Kodak 620 Monitor by the age of 12. The same age I learned to develop film and print my work. I've have had many teachers and influences over the years. I love the role that photography has played in history, recording the ephemeral stuff of life. I purchased my first new camera in1975 a Canon Ftb. I have some deep knowledge of the arcane chemical alchemy of photography. So I worked for about 10 years as a custom printer as an all-around lab-rat.
